RODD RACER a work in progress

Rodd Racer is a story inspired by the old adventure strips of Milton Caniff, and Frank Robbins.

It takes place in a fictional 1930's environment which slants towards the futures of Fritz Lang.

A story about a young, ambitous racer who risks it all to win greatness, but finds more than he gambled for in the violent world of the street derby run by gangsters known only as...Thunder Road.

You're the man! Some of the larger views dont work for me (literally... the links wont go) don't know if it's just me. In the meantime keep'em coming! Love it!

BTW are you coming out to NYC con?

Yeah, a few of the larger links ain't workin' for me either.
I'll look into it over the next couple days.
Yeah I'll be going as a fan. I'm kind of a procastinator when it comes to Cons, and I waited to long to reserve a spot in artist's alley. But I'll be hangin' around the show.

Wow Toby, I'm sure you already know how much I love this concept of yours ever since waaay back when I first saw it. It's great to see some newer pages and such that i wasn't privy to though. I am as excited as ever to finally see Rodd Racer in all it's glory.

Ahhh when I think about what MIGHT have been if it wasn't for my stupidity and foolishness.

So did this get picked up by a publisher or are you doing this all on your lonesome?

Toby, this is some of the best comics work I've ever seen. I'm really excited about Rodd Racer. Please put me on your mailing list if you have one and let me know everytime you have something published and where I can get it. Beautiful work.

Josh,
Hey Thanks for the great compliment. I love your work, had an opportunity to check out your stuff. Great work.

Clarke,
Thanks man. Yeah, well I had an opportunity of flesh out the concept, and get some personal concepts into the story.

I don't have a publisher yet. Just waiting to finish the story's more important aspects before shopping the story for interest because I don't want anybody throwing in input that might distract from my vision of the book. That way I'm sure to find a publisher that best fits for this story.

Besides, the story is kinda left field, and I'm not sure anybody would "get it" unless I had everything spelled out...so to speak.

I think you have one of the finest drawing hands in the comics biz. I can look at your stuff for a very long time . In fact I have!
Not sure about the lettering though (It could be that seeing it on a computer isn't ideal.)
